WARNING: Changing codes

Please note that if you have already shared a page’s URL with your users/friends/family and you opt to change your URL code, the previous tiny url will be broken. Therefore, if you have already shared your page’s tin yurl we recommend that you DO NOT CHANGE YOUR CODE.

Tiny URLs can be customized for all Big River pages.  

Marketplace Pages

1.  Login (http://production.gobigriver.com/admin/)

2.  Open the page for which you would like to customize the URL.

3.  Click "Basics" in the left menu.

4.  In the "Tiny URL Code" field, enter your preferred URL code.

a. The code must only contain alphanumerics (letters & numbers), dashes, and underscores

b. The code must be at least one character long

c. The code must be unique on the system - this will be validated for you when you save

5.  Save

6.  Click "Widgets" in the left menu.

7.  Your full Tiny URL is displayed at the top of the page.  You can share this Tiny URL to direct people to your page.

Community Pages

1. Login to your account. (production.gobigriver.com/engage).

2. Select the community page you’d like to customize from your My Community Pages list.

Click your name/icon on the top right to reveal this menu and select "My Community Pages".

3. Click the pencil icon to the right of the desired page.    

4. Click the "Edit" tab and choose the “Advanced Settings” label on the left.

5. Type your chosen URL code in the input field following "http://brurl.co/". 

a. The code must only contain alphanumerics (letters & numbers), dashes, and underscores

b. The code must be at least one character long

c. The code must be unique on the system - this will be validated for you when you save

6. Save your community page, making sure you don’t receive validation errors about unique URL codes.
