You will need to create a merchant account to process credit card payments for the fundraising items you will set up in DonorPoint.
You will need the following to set up your merchant account;
- An image of a voided check from your organization's bank account
- An image of a photo ID
!! A cell phone picture of these items will be sufficient for these images.
Enter your name, job title, address, phone number, email, birthdate and social security number into the correct fields. Also enter the credit history information requested as well as the routing and account numbers from your organization's check.
Using the correct links, upload the image of your photo ID and the voided check from your organization's bank account.
!! Your social security number and photo ID information are used to verify your organization and your role in it. These actions will not affect your personal credit history.
Also be sure to read and accept the merchant account terms from the link at the bottom of the form.
Click on "Submit" to process your information. If you wish to stop and continue this process later, click on "Save and Skip The Rest For Now." You can come back to this information whenever you wish but this step must be completed for you to use your DonorPoint account.
!! To log back in click on the link you received in your activation email and enter your username and password at the login screen. You will be returned to the screen where you left off.
When your merchant account has been activated you will receive an email notification. You will also see a status bar update in the header of your DonorPoint screen.
